Jookster Launches New User Generated Content Search!

Our team has been working hard to launch the new version of Jookster. We have revamped Jookster to becoming the first of its kind search engine for discovering and sharing user generated videos, photos and bookmarks!  We have crawled many of your favorite sites such as Myspace, Youtube, Flickr, Del.icio.us, and Grouper to give you access to the best user generated content from a single site.  We crawled the web in a special way that maintains the relationship between the person who uploaded the content and the content which enables you to:

• Easily discover additional content from the person who uploaded your favorite videos, photos or bookmarks.
• Subscribe to receive future notification when that person uploads new content.
• Use Jookster to search for people on sites like Myspace, YouTube and Grouper who have uploaded cool content.

Jookster has also included these additional cool features with this release:

• Ability to share content to members of your network with a single click
• Ability to Jook and share content from the search results – no downloads required
• Shared content shows up in the comments section of your user profiles so that you or others can comment
• Highly customizable user profiles which enable users to embed any Flash or HTML based widget
• Ability to look at the content creator’s profile with a single click
• Ability to Digg and Del.icio.us content directly from the search results

This version no longer supports the Jookster Toolbar as you can Jook and Share content from the search results page.  If you want to Jook or Share content that is not on a Jookster search results then simply use the Jook or Share links button to do so.

New Version of Jookster Is Here!

Hello, everyone. As promised our team has been working very hard to get you those new features we spoke about. Managing your content , friends , etc. And we are glad to announce that in addition we have now officially launched a new search capability known as "Interactive Search" which is an entirely new way of finding information on the web.

The new version of Jookster is packed with new features that enable you to :

• Specify your interests (ie: blogging, basketball, investing,etc) in your Profile Page
• Use Profile search to find other people who share your interests.
• View the Jook History tab of others and search it to see what sites that the person has jooked.
• Search the Web from that person's perspective with the Web tab on their profile.
• Invite people with similar interest to join your network with just a single click.
• View the Profiles of your friends and friends of others from the Friends tab.

And for all you bloggers out there you can now share your content with others from your blog using our new "Join Me at Jookster" button so that users can access your profile and view and search the content you have found relevant on the web right from your blog. Jookster Beta Launched Today!

Our team has worked really hard over the past couple months to get this release out. The first beta was very focused on testing out the Jookster backend. We heard the feedback from our beta testers that they wanted a friendlier, cleaner user interface that didn't require a toolbar. We listened to them and the result is what you see in this release. We want to say thanks to our community of users who believe in what we are doing and were patient with allowing us to work at building the best product for their needs. We welcome continued feedback and we will continue to work to innovate our product and technology. Web 2.0 Search is now a reality!

Our goal for the near term will be to incrementally release new features to the community. Some of the features to come soon, will be the ability to manage your network of friends and jooked content AKA Jook History.

We will post site status on our blog on a regular basis as well as use this as our medium to keep you updated on things to come.
